Research and Writing

This course is designed to develop and refine your skills in research, writing, critical reading and argumentation. You won't just be writing papers.  You'll be expected to learn all you can about your topics before you even start to write about them, and to subject the information you assemble to serious critical scrutiny.  Once you begin to formulate your own arguments, you will have to be as critical and reflective about your own thoughts as you are about the opinions of others.
