In the Knight's Tale, the Miller's Tale, and the Wife of Bath's Prologue and Tale, we get three different views of love, marriage, and the relationship between the genders. Is there anything unexpected in the ways these three views interrelate? (For instance, is either the Miller or the Wife of Bath presenting a sort of commentary on the Knight's ideals of courtly love?) Is one view more "realistic" than the others? Are any of them really realistic? Why?
