Question 2 - The women’s role in Malory, in general, each woman has differences and similar roles such as sometimes they seduce another knight, cheat on another knight, curse someone, and sometimes as intermediaries. I think women’s roles in Malory are very important because the Lady of the Lake carry the sword Excalibur that is really valuable for Arthur. Without this Excalibur, Arthur cannot win that many battles and cannot manage his nation. Also, in many scenes show that women are like hot potato about love affair. Because when Arthur wants to marry to Lady Guinevere, Merlin said that she’s going to fall in love with Sir Lancelot. But Arthur decided to marry to Lady Guinevere. Finally Queen Guinevere fell in love with Sir Lancelot. Also, Morgan Le Fay is really interesting character. She has very complex blood tree. She is the foster sister with king Arthur and she has love and hatred for Arthur. So she make Arthur in trouble.
